News

January 2011: -

X915ERA and P502XGA have reverted back to these registrations and been disposed of to Volvo Coach Sales along with YYD699.

ECZ9138 has reverted back to T37CNN and L900SGB has reverted back to S627ETV.

B883YTC has become YYD699; Y467HUA to L80SGB; Y469HUA to L70SGB; M338EEC to L400SGB; M339EEC to L900SGB; H986PTW has become ECZ9138.

Here is YYD699 on B883YTC and new Caetano Levante FJ60HYY.

Wessex Connect
Some of the R-RLY Darts are being disposed of; a couple have gone on loan to new operator Yorkshire Line whilst a couple of others are at Stafford Bus Centre.

December 2010: -

The former South Gloucestershire yard on Station Road next to Patchway Station is back in use as staff car park and overflow bus storage.

Over Christmas all four U6 liveried ALX400's were parked up: -

Delivered to Wessex Connect is unique MCV bodied Volvo B9TL double decker. It is registered AE60GRU and was displayed at the NEC in Birmingham before delivery.

November 2010: -

Now in Bristol are X30COV and X300COV - these are SIlver and in use in Bristol. These vehicles used to live in Bristol when registered YJ07JRO and YJ07JRU.

October 2010: -

Two Plaxton Centro's have been transferred to Bath from Birmingham are BX58AOO & BX58AOZ.

They are in U18 livery (as illustrated below) and replace two A-UOB Wright's that have been painted white for 620 Tetbury - Bath.

A lot of vehicles have been re-registered in the South Glos fleet. see fleetlist for details.

A second ex-Plymouth Citybus Volvo decker appeared at Patchway in the form of G612OTV in an allover black livery. I've later seen a report that this vehicle has been deroofed!

Finally caught up with the X27 branded MCV Evolutions this evening: -

The Volvo B9R / Cartano Levante's have finally started to arrive; here are: -

FJ60HYR, FJ60HYS, FJ60HYT and FJ60HYW.

September 2010: -

352STG has been reregistered back to Y469HUA as expected.

Still no sign of the new Levante's but a new school vehicle has arrived in the shape of G614OTV.

 

Two MPD's have been repainted into "Severn Beach Connection" livery.

August 2010: -

South Gloucestershire have won National Express route 403 (Bath - Swindon - London) from First.

On order and due to be delivered imminently are twelve Volvo B9R / Caetano Levante's.

Bought to cover the shortfall whilst waiting for the Levante's are 352STG (formally Y469HUA) and Y467HUA which are Van Hool bodied DAF's from Selwyn's, Runcorn and FE02FBL a Volvo B10M / Plaxton Panther from Uri Tours, New Malden.

These vehicles will be retained once the Levante's arrive and some of the older coaches will be disposed of. 352STG will be reregistered back to Y469HUA in due course.

July 2010: -

Wessex Connect has more Dart's for "The Eighties" routes serving South Gloucestershire Council HQ in Yate, see fleet page for details.

April 2010: -

New to Wessex for new contracted route 660 in the Nailsea area taken over from North Somerset Coaches is Dart KP54BYX

Based in Keynsham for South Gloucestershire Council offices orientated routes are SN05HDD and V562JBH.

Also at Keynsham are SN05HDE, MV54EEO and DK04SUU all in Eighties livery.

 

Also at Keynsham were V167MVX and T134AST. T134 is an ex-South Gloucestershire vehicle!

March 2010: -

I am still here - it's just that the fleets seem to have calmed down a bit...... for now!

 

January 2010: -

The three extra Levante's required for the 040 are FJ57KGF, FJ57KGG and FJ57KHH formally C056, C057 and C053 in National Express' own fleet.
